Politics affects every aspect of our lives and is constantly changing and evolving. The A-Level helps you understand the role politics plays in relation to current local, national, and global issues. Politics also involves us considering issues from a wide range of perspectives, helping us to understand differences in opinions.
What will I study?
There are three parts to A-Level Politics. You will study:
- UK Politics
- UK Government
- USA Comparative Politics.
What can I do with A-Level Politics?
People who study Politics go on to a range of courses in the future, including university degrees in politics, law, journalism, philosophy, economics and social sciences. A-level Politics develops your essay writing, critical analysis and evaluative skills.
Entry Requirements
A Grade 5+ in English Language or English Literature.
A Grade 5 in History would also be beneficial. Alternatively, a Grade 5 in Geography will be accepted.
