BackExtended Project Qualification
The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is a great opportunity to experience university-style study and expand your knowledge in an area of interest.
It shows employers and universities what your personal passion and interests are, and shows that you can self-manage, self-direct and set ambitious goals for yourself.
The EPQ is an enrichment qualification that supports your studies in other subjects and your career goals.
What will I study?
The EPQ requires you to complete an independent project where you identify, design, plan and complete an individual project, applying a range of organisational skills and strategies to meet agreed objectives.
Students in previous years have designed and built a UAV, analysed the environmental impact of different building designs, and compared & contrasted different views in mythology.
What can I do with the Extended Project?
The Extended Project supports applications to apprenticeships, employment, and university. Some universities offer bursaries, and others will lower the grades required for entry, based on strong EPQ performance.
What are the entry requirements?
